OUCH!
Today was a rough day.
Started out by spilling my iced coffee down my shirt. Granted, it was a dark blue shirt and not white, but I then had less coffee (and everyone knows a mama needs her coffee!)
Next, as I was walking into school, I was thinking to myself "Self, this is why I can't have nice clothes and things" and then I totally wiped out.
Like throw my plastic cup of iced coffee at the ground, not able to catch myself, and taking a good minute to compose myself after the fall.
In the end, my cup broke (it will do that when it's thrown hard at a cement sidewalk), by knees were skinned, my hands were skinned, and even my chin was skinned.
Today has GOT to be better...right?!

Reagan is 6 months old!
Wow, how did our sweet, little baby grow so fast?!
She's a professinal roller...we think she'll be crawling in no time!
No teeth yet, but if the gnawling on her hands and drool are any indicator, I don't think it will be long.

Happy Mother's Day to Sweet Mama Brown!
The eggs hatched! The eggs hatched!
Saturday, we noticed an empty egg shell near the duck nest, but Sweet Mama Brown was still on the nest...
Well, sure enough, Sunday (Mother's day appropriately) we saw more shells and ALL OF THE BABIES!
I counted 11 at one point, but it was so great to be able to see the new family.

Happy Mothers Day!
No, I have the best husband!
Not only did he get up early with the girls, but he made my favorite breakfast (french toast w/ sausage & bacon), but he sent me shopping w/ Megan for the day!
He took the girls up to get their picture taken w/ Grandma Susan & Grandpa Jimbo, so every mom got some love.
We ended the day w/ Punch Pizza and a trip to Dairy Queen!
I couldn't have asked for a better day!
And, because they're sometimes the best pictures, here's the FAILED pics...

Sweet Mama Brown
A few days ago, we found a duck in the backyard!
Greg saw her, then Piper and I went to see her. When we were out there, she walked away and hopped the fence. Just then, 2 male ducks flew off the roof and joined her on the outside of the fence. We looked around and found a nest buried on the east side of the house, in the garden. There were ~10-12 eggs in it just waiting to be warmed. We were worried we'd scared her off, but she's come back!
Piper said "Don't worry Mommy, the baby ducks are in the Easter eggs. They're still growing."
We learned ducks will often go back to the same spots year after year. Maybe we'll see Sweet Mama Brown again!
